Best Perfumes
From the desk of Enzo Taffarelli
After all those years in the fragrance industry the question 'what is the best perfume?' still surprises me. Scents are as much object to taste as are music, clothes, or food. Naturally the question after the 'best food' or the 'best music' cannot be answered absolutely. There is no way to measure taste; be it for music, or clothes, for food, or for fragrances.
Still, there are a few guidelines when it comes to deciding on a perfume for a particular person. Those guidelines are tied to questions about the person in question: what age is she (or he)? What gender? Is it a lively or calm personality?
Best Perfume For Men
At a first glance the question concerning the gender seems to lead to the easiest answer. Fragrances for men are very often labelled as such. Mostly those are spicy scents lacking a flowery note. And still, there are so many brands available that it is very hard to chose. Let me give you a few hints nonetheless.
Aromatic fragrances (scents like thyme and anis) suit men that one would label adventurous and gentlemanly. Men that appreciate the finer things and style.
Citrus fragrances (orange, mandarin, etc) are perfect for men that love sports. Those fragrances are refreshing and invigorating.
Tobacco fragrances are perfect for men with a very strong personality and high self-esteem. With their heavy scent they clearly mark the man as somebody that wants to be noticed.
Best Perfume For Younger Women
Young women should not wear fragrances that have a heavy, too sweet, and too heavy scent. A light and flowery bouquet far better accentuates the freshness of youth.
Citrus fragrances also suit young woman very well. With their refreshing and vitalizing quality they give its user an aura of being carefree and full of life.
One of the most popular fragrances for teens is Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue. A very playful and citrusy scent, refreshing and pretty light.
Always Consider The Situation
The choice of fragrance should not solely depend on age, personality, or gender. The time of the day and year and the current activity or occasion should also have an impact on your choice. I have known quite a few people that always used the same fragrance, no matter what time of the day it was or where they went. While I clearly associated that one scent with them, it could very often become pretty irritating to have them smell the same all the time.
